The Top Tech Award for small, private enterprises with 51 to 150 workers went to Cali’s vice president of customer experience and transformation. At the Del Mar Fairgrounds on May 16, Gerritsen was given a tribute.
Doug Jackson, the president and CEO of Cali, remarked, “Ali is at the top in everything she does.” Her ability to use technology to improve the ease, effectiveness, and profitability of our business helps the Cali team and customer on a daily basis. Her tenacity and expertise immediately impact our deliverables and give us a concrete competitive advantage.
Gerritsen graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business with a Bachelor’s degree and USC’s Marshall School of Business with an MBA. Besides that, she carries along many specialist certificates in project management that have proved to be very useful for Cali’s massive infrastructure, business system, and department re-engineering initiatives.
Among her several achievements in 2023 were the creation of new customer experience protocols, the integration of new business systems, and the addition of upgraded infrastructure. Cali currently has greater demand forecasting, enhanced digital marketing, increased automation efficiency, fortified emergency backup systems, survey technologies to monitor client sentiment, and an enhanced phone platform that allows representatives to conduct thirty percent more calls.
Prior to moving to California, Gerritsen worked for Buzztime in Carlsbad, California, first as director of technology and later as senior director of operations. In her first year there, her focus on automation, BPI, and lean methodology implementation helped the company save $55,000 in recurring expenditure every month.
“To receive this recognition is such an honor,” Gerritsen remarked. “Without the assistance and backing of my Cali tech team and this company’s dedication to ongoing technological improvement, I could not have won this award.”
